Electrolysis is the only medically approved form of permanent hair removal. It has been around since 1875 when Dr. Charles Michel discovered he could permanently destroy hair.
For over 100 years it has been recognised as a safe and reliable method of hair removal. All skin types can be treated also all hair colours including white and blonde therefore making it suitable for everyone. Common areas to be treated include all facial areas, chest, nipple, underarm, back, abdomen and bikini line.
Electrolysis involves the insertion of a very fine disposable, sterile probe into the hair follicle (which is a natural opening in the skin) after which a tiny amount of energy is skilfully discharged into the hair follicle destroying it. The treatment can be adapted to suit each client’s needs, varying from Galvanic, Thermolysis and The Blend.
Excess facial hair is relatively common and affects around 1 in 10 women. It can be embarrassing and distressing to live with, affecting self confidence, self esteem, relationships, social and professional life at times. Unwanted hair growth can be hereditary or due to hormone levels. Other factors may also stimulate hair growth, like some drugs but also illnesses as well as other methods of hair removal. |
Electrolysis can be used when excess hair is located in an area of the body where it may not be desired like the upper lip area, chin or bikini line.
